THEATRE CLASS · AGES 5 TO 8 · LINCOLN CA

Storybook Stars turns children's favorite stories into an imaginative theatre experience. Pretend play, character voices, movement, and storytelling — built for ages 5 to 8.

AGES 5 TO 8

A first taste of the stage,
wrapped in a story.

Storybook Stars takes children's favorite stories and turns them into an imaginative theatre experience. Each semester, our young performers step into a new tale through pretend play, character voices, movement, and storytelling.

The class builds confidence, creativity, and foundational acting skills in a fun, age-appropriate environment.

  • Imaginative play. Kids step into the world of each story through character play, pretend, and creative storytelling.

  • Acting and character work. Students explore different characters, practice using their voices and expressions, and learn how to bring a story to life.

  • Movement and expression. Physical movement helps students connect with their characters and get comfortable expressing themselves.

  • Group skills. Students practice listening, taking turns, working together, and sharing the spotlight with their classmates.

  • Creative confidence. Every class encourages kids to use their imagination, make choices, and have fun while developing their acting skills.

  • Built for ages 5 to 8. Activities are designed to keep young performers engaged while introducing them to the fundamentals of theatre in a supportive environment.

WHAT KIDS TAKE HOME

More than performance.
The roots of confidence.

Storybook Stars is theatre for young performers, but the skills it builds reach past the stage. Character work, listening, group play, and self-expression all develop at exactly the age these capacities are forming.

Confidence

Speaking up in front of others, making bold choices, trying on a character. Storybook Stars makes performance feel like play.

Expression

Students learn to use their voice, face, and body to bring a character to life. Those tools carry into classrooms and conversations.

The kids who think creatively at six become the kids who solve problems creatively at ten. Imagination is a muscle.

Storybook Stars is all about imagination, storytelling, and discovering the joy of acting.
